Schumann Dermatology Group Welcomes Dr. Donald Shenenberger
Dr. Donald Shenenberger is a native of South Bend, Indiana. He is a 1996 graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and began his career in medicine as a family practitioner. In the summer of 2005 Dr. Shenenberger was one of four dermatology residents nationwide selected to attend the British Association of Dermatologists’ annual meeting in Glasgow, Scotland, on a scholarship from both the American Academy of Dermatology and the Sulzberger Foundation.
Dr. Shenenberger is board-eligible with the American Board of Dermatology and a fellow in the American Academy of Family Physicians. He also serves on the faculty of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. He is currently a staff member of the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth’s Department of Dermatology and is active in teaching medical students, interns and residents in the many training programs at that institution.
Dr. Shenenberger lives in Chesapeake with his wife, Kimberly, and their two children, Alex and Caroline. His other interests include tennis (he spent several years as a club pro) and music (he plays several instruments and recently recorded a CD of original work with a band in Maryland).
